Passport

If you are already accredited, you can passport into NLAS for free. This allows your accreditation to be national (but some authorities may not approve NLAS so please check first). You will have to agree our code of conduct and criteria of being accredited (but see below).

The passported NLAS accreditation will run until your other accreditation expires (e.g. if you have 2 years and 2 months left on your other accreditation, your NLAS accreditation will run for two years and two months.)

Benefits of the free passport option include:

  • Free of charge to passport into NLAS
  • Discounted Subscription to Guild of Residential Landlords (£70.00 instead of £80.00)
  • Discounted buildings insurance throughout accreditation
  • Discounted advertising of property to let via UPAD.co.uk

If there is a conflict between the NLAS code of conduct or criteria with the accreditation from which you are being passported, the following applies:

  • If the complaint or issue where there maybe a conflict arises in the area of the local authority for which you were accredited, that local authority code of conduct and/or criteria will overrule ours.
  • If however, the complaint or issue irises out of the local authority area (for example in relation to a property in a different area) then our code of conduct and criteria overrules.
